Terms of Service
Last updated: April 29, 2026
These Terms govern your use of Iris (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.
1. The Service
Iris records your screen and uses third-party AI providers to extract structured context (summaries, transcripts, timelines, and frame-level metadata) that you and your AI agents can consume.
2. Your account
You’re responsible for keeping your credentials and API keys secret. We treat any action taken with valid credentials as taken by you.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Record people without their consent where consent is required by law.
- Upload content you don’t have the right to share.
- Use the Service for spam, harassment, malware distribution, or illegal activity.
- Attempt to bypass rate limits, plan quotas, or any technical access controls.
- Reverse-engineer the Service except where local law expressly permits it.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of the recordings and other content you upload (“Customer Content”). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, transmit, process, display, and create derivative works of Customer Content solely as needed to operate the Service for you. We don’t use Customer Content to train AI models.
5. Plans, payment, and refunds
Some features are free; others require a paid plan. You authorize us and our payment processor to charge your payment method for the recurring fees of your plan. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. You can cancel any time; cancellation stops future charges but doesn’t refund the current billing period.
6. Service availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee a specific uptime under these Terms. Scheduled maintenance and outages happen.
7. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from the dashboard. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law. On termination we delete your personal data and your workspaces per the schedule in the Privacy Policy.
8. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL IRIS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY DAMAGES IN AGGREGATE EXCEEDING THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [TODO: jurisdiction]. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of [TODO].
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via email and/or the dashboard. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
